The Reed Instruments TM-8811 is a new, handheld ultrasonic thickness gauge that measures material thickness from the single-access side using pulse-echo ultrasonic technology, making it suitable for corrosion inspection, pipe wall measurement, and structural integrity assessment on metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, and other acoustically conductive materials. The gauge measures up to 7.9 in (200 mm) with user-selectable units (inches or millimeters) and features automatic material calibration for accurate sound-velocity compensation across different materials. The complete kit ships in a molded blue carrying case and includes the TM-8811 main unit, ultrasonic transducer probe, couplant gel, and batteries, with a 1-year manufacturer warranty from Reed Instruments.
