The RobbJack SB-201-08 is a new, solid carbide 2-flute ball nose end mill from RobbJack Corporation's SB-201 series, designed for contour milling, 3D profiling, and slot milling operations in a wide range of materials. It features a 1/4 in (0.250 in) cutting diameter with a hemispherical ball end, 5/16 in length of cut (LOC), and a 2.50 in overall length (OAL), with a 1/4 in straight shank for use in standard ER collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit chucks. RobbJack manufactures this series from submicron-grain carbide substrate; the uncoated (bright) finish visible in the photo is consistent with RobbJack's SB-201 standard offering, which is optimized for non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, brass, copper, and plastics where a bare carbide edge outperforms coated alternatives by minimizing built-up edge. The 2-flute geometry provides excellent chip clearance in softer, gummier materials and allows for center-cutting capability typical of ball end mills in this series.
