Royal 12964 is a standard-duty live center with 4MT (Morse Taper #4) spindle interface and a carbide conical point designed for lathe spindle mounting on both manual and CNC machines. The live center incorporates ball bearings to enable the point to rotate freely during turning operations, reducing friction and heat generation at the workpiece contact surface. The carbide point provides superior wear resistance and edge retention compared to hardened steel points, extending tool life in production environments.
