The grade GC34 is Sandvik's uncoated or lightly treated fine-grain carbide grade optimized for drilling non-ferrous materials — particularly aluminum and aluminum alloys — where built-up edge resistance and sharp cutting edges are paramount; the bright, uncoated finish visible in the photos is consistent with GC34 for non-ferrous applications.
