This is a new Sandvik Coromant CoroDrill 460 solid carbide twist drill, part number 460.1-1425-071A1-XM GC34, with a 14.25 mm cutting diameter (DC), a 16 mm cylindrical shank (CZCms Ø16), and a 68.8 mm usable flute length (LU). The grade GC34 is Sandvik's PVD-coated sub-micron carbide grade optimized for drilling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron in both dry and wet cutting conditions. The 460 series features a self-centering 140° point geometry, parabolic flute design for efficient chip evacuation, and internal coolant capability through the shank. The -XM designation indicates a reinforced web geometry for improved stability and breakage resistance in demanding applications.
