This is a new Sandvik Coromant CoroDrill 862-GM solid carbide micro drill, part number 862.1-0226-018A1-GM, in grade GC34 — a PVD-coated submicron carbide grade engineered for high-performance drilling in hardened steels, stainless steels, and superalloys. The 862-GM series features a GM (General Machining) geometry with a self-centering point, tight diameter tolerance, and optimized flute design for chip evacuation in difficult-to-machine materials at elevated cutting speeds. The drill diameter is 2.26 mm with an 18 mm flute length (LU = 8×DC, equating to approximately 18.08 mm), a straight shank, and is designed for use in high-speed machining centers with through-spindle coolant capability. At 2.26 mm, this is a precision micro drill suited for PCB fixture plates, medical components, aerospace structures, and other small-hole applications requiring positional accuracy and hole quality. The drill ships in original Sandvik Coromant factory packaging (1 pc) and is unused.
