Decoding the MPN: "862.1" = CoroDrill 862, step-type geometry variant (.1); "2180" = 2.180 mm cutting diameter; "189" = 1.89 mm neck/flute diameter (reduced neck for rigidity in small-diameter step drill format); "A1" = 1 × Dc point geometry / straight shank designation; "GM" = GM ground geometry chipbreaker; "X2BM" = grade X2BM, a fine-grain solid carbide substrate with an nACo (nano-composite AlCrN-based) PVD coating optimized for ISO P, M, K, and N materials — the dark blue-black appearance on the flutes visible in the photos confirms the PVD coating.
