The Sandvik Coromant 870-2500-25L32-3 is a new CoroDrill 870 exchangeable-tip drill body designed for use with Sandvik's 870-series carbide drill tips, accepting tip size 25 (compatible with drill diameters 25.00–25.99 mm as stamped on the shank). The body features a 32 mm cylindrical straight shank, a 3×Dc (3× diameter) drilling depth capability (~75 mm), internal through-coolant channels for effective chip evacuation and heat management, and a black-oxide surface treatment on the flute body for corrosion resistance. Insert retention uses the 870-25 torx clamping screw system requiring 10 IP key at 2.0 Nm torque (both values confirmed from engraved shank markings), and the screw specification is 5513 031-16. Manufactured in Sweden, this drill body is suited for machining steel, stainless, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials on CNC machining centers and lathes with live tooling, using compatible CoroDrill 870 carbide tips in the 25 mm size range.
