The Sandvik Coromant MB-09R180-09-14L 1025 is a new, round (180°) carbide insert from the CoroCut MB system, designed for small-part turning and parting/grooving operations on Swiss-type and small-bore lathes using the CoroCut MB toolholder platform. The insert is round in shape (IC ≈ 9 mm), right-hand cutting orientation (R), with a 14 mm effective cutting diameter and a 9 mm thickness designation, ground to a precision-profile geometry optimized for miniature machining. Grade 1025 is a PVD TiAlN-coated cemented carbide engineered for steel (ISO P), stainless/duplex (ISO M), and superalloys/titanium (ISO S), with recommended cutting speeds of 620 sfm (190 m/min) in P-class steels, 550 sfm (165 m/min) in M-class stainless, and 145 sfm (45 m/min) in S-class superalloys at a feed of 0.001 in/r (0.02 mm/r) as confirmed on the package label. Each package contains 5 inserts made in France; the insert's golden TiAlN PVD coating is clearly visible in the product photos.
