The Sandvik Coromant N331.1A-145008E-L30 S30T is a new, uncoated (bright/PVD) carbide milling insert designed for use with the CoroMill 331 square shoulder and side-and-face milling cutter system. The ordering code decodes as follows: N331.1A = CoroMill 331 insert family with negative basic shape and one-sided geometry; 14 = 14 mm inscribed circle (insert length ~14.0 mm); 50 = 5.0 mm thickness; 08 = 0.8 mm corner radius; E = chipbreaker geometry (medium); L30 = left-hand cutting edge orientation; S30T = uncoated cemented carbide grade optimized for stainless steel and general milling of M-class materials (ISO M). Recommended cutting data per the package label for ISO M materials (≤200 HB stainless): fz 0.06 mm (0.01–0.08 mm), vc 275 m/min (270–285 m/min range), 900 sfm (880–940 sfm). The S30T grade is a straight WC-Co fine-grained carbide offering excellent toughness and edge strength, suited for milling stainless steels, duplex, and heat-resistant alloys. This insert is packaged in a tray of 10 (MtrIID 7295528, Batch 2GH0696724, Made in Sweden) and is compatible with Sandvik CoroMill 331 cutter bodies requiring the N331.1A seat style with left-hand orientation.
