The Sandvik Coromant R245-18 T6 M-KM 3040 is a square (90° shape) positive-rake carbide milling insert designed for the CoroMill 245 face milling cutter platform. Grade 3040 is a CVD-coated cemented carbide with a TiCN/Al₂O₃ multilayer coating optimized for the K material group (cast iron), with a recommended cutting speed of 175 m/min (570 sfm) and feed per tooth of 0.28 mm (0.011 in) as shown on the package label. The KM chipbreaker geometry delivers medium-duty cutting action suited to stable conditions in grey and nodular cast iron, with 6 usable cutting edges per insert (T6 designation) providing excellent economy. The insert seats in standard R245 toolholders accepting 18 mm insert size, including Sandvik's RA245-xxx-18 cutter bodies. This listing contains 10 new, factory-sealed inserts in the original Sandvik Coromant packaging.
