This Sandvik Coromant R390-18 06 12H-PL insert in grade 4340 is a carbide indexable milling insert for the CoroMill 390 system, supplied new in the original 10-slot Sandvik box made in Sweden. The designation gives an 18 mm insert size, a 06 thickness code, a 1.2 mm corner radius and the PL geometry, with the gold-colored coated carbide grade 4340 marked on the ordering label. The pack label lists ISO P steel (P2.1.Z.AN, 175 HB) at fz 0.11 mm (0.05-0.22 mm) and vc 280 m/min (910 sfm), and ISO M stainless (M1.0.Z.AQ, 200 HB) at fz 0.11 mm and vc 220 m/min (730 sfm).
