The Sandvik Coromant RCKT 1204 M0-PH 4220 is a new, round (circular) positive-geometry carbide milling insert designed for use with the CoroMill 200 face and profile milling system. Grade 4220 is a PVD-coated cemented carbide (TiAlN-based coating, identifiable by the characteristic gold/bronze appearance of the rake face and dark flank) engineered for milling steel (ISO P) and hardened materials (ISO H up to 60 HRC). The RCKT designation decodes as: R = round shape, C = 7° clearance angle, K = tolerance class, T = with chipbreaker, 12 = 12 mm inscribed circle diameter, 04 = 4.76 mm thickness, M0 = medium chipbreaker geometry, PH = peripheral hole for screw clamping. Per the back-label cutting data, recommended feed per tooth (fz) is 0.35 mm (range 0.1–0.42 mm) for both P and H materials, with cutting speed Vc of 255 m/min (840 SFM) for steel (P2.1.Z.AN, 175 HB) and 35 m/min (115 SFM) for hardened steel (H1.3.Z.HA, 60 HRC).
