This is a new box of 10 Sandvik Coromant SCMT 12 04 04-MM 1125 (ANSI SCMT 431-MM 1125) carbide turning inserts from the CoroTurn 107 range, made in USA. The insert is a 90° square with a 7° positive clearance, M-class tolerance, a center hole with countersink and a one-sided chipbreaker. It has a 12.7 mm inscribed circle, 4.76 mm thickness and 0.4 mm nose radius, with 4 usable cutting edges. The MM geometry in grade 1125 is aimed at ISO M stainless steel turning, and the pack label gives a starting depth of cut of 1.8 mm (0.3-4.2 mm range), a feed of 0.19 mm/r (0.09-0.28 mm/r) and a speed of 175 m/min (570 sfm), with a 135-205 m/min range, for 200 HB material. It fits screw-clamped toolholders that take SCMT 12 04 04 inserts.
