Sandvik SCMW 09T308 5015 Cermet Turning Insert CoroTurn 107 (10pc)

The Sandvik Coromant SCMW 09T308 5015 is a new, uncoated cermet turning insert in the CoroTurn 107 product line, designed for light finishing and semi-finishing of steel and stainless steel at high cutting speeds. Decoded per ISO 1832: S = square (90°) shape, C = 7° clearance angle, M = medium tolerance, W = no chipbreaker/no hole (solid, double-sided), 09 = 9.525 mm (3/8 in) inscribed circle, T3 = 3.97 mm thickness, 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius. Grade 5015 is a Sandvik Coromant PVD-uncoated cermet grade with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN)-based substrate engineered for excellent surface finish, high wear resistance, and resistance to built-up edge in the finishing of low-alloy and carbon steels. Per the package label, this insert is rated for ISO material group K (cast iron) at up to 245 HB, with recommended cutting speed Vc = 710 sfm (215 m/min), feed fn = 0.008 in/r (0.21 mm/r), and depth of cut ap = 0.089 in (2.25 mm); it is compatible with CoroTurn 107 toolholders accepting SCMW-style inserts with a 7° seating clearance. Each package contains 10 inserts (qty 024 on the box label denotes 24 inserts total in a master pack of 10-packs).
