ISO designation decodes as: T = triangular (60°), C = 7° clearance angle, G = close tolerance (±0.025 mm on thickness, ±0.013 mm on inscribed circle), X = special chipbreaker/geometry, 11 03 04 = 11 mm inscribed circle / 3.18 mm thickness / 0.4 mm nose radius, L = left-hand cutting direction, WK = Sandvik's sharp, polished chipbreaker geometry optimized for light finishing cuts. Grade 1125 is a PVD-coated cemented carbide featuring a (Ti,Al)N-based coating applied over a fine-grained substrate, delivering superior edge sharpness and wear resistance; it is particularly suited for finishing stainless steel (ISO M), heat-resistant superalloys (ISO S), and non-ferrous/aluminum alloys (ISO N) at the cutting data shown on the label (e.g., Vc up to 540 sfm in stainless, up to 1550 sfm in non-ferrous).
