Sandvik TNMG 160408-MF 2025 CVD Carbide Turning Insert (10pc)

This is a new, sealed factory pack of 10 Sandvik Coromant TNMG 160408-MF (ANSI: TNMG 332-MF) turning inserts in grade 2025, a CVD-coated cemented carbide grade featuring a multi-layer TiCN/Al₂O₃/TiN coating that produces the characteristic gold top surface visible in the photos. The TNMG ISO designation decodes as: T = triangular (60°) insert shape, N = 0° clearance angle, M = M-tolerance class, G = cylindrical hole with chip grooves on both faces, 16 = 16.5 mm inscribed circle, 04 = 4.76 mm thickness, 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius, MF = medium finishing chipbreaker geometry. Grade 2025 is Sandvik's T-Max P platform CVD grade targeting ISO M (stainless steel) and P (steel) workpiece materials, with the MF chipbreaker optimized for light-to-medium finishing cuts at low-to-medium depths of cut (ap 0.15–1.5 mm / 0.006–0.059 in) and feed rates (fn 0.1–0.41 mm/r), as shown on the package label.
