The Sandvik Coromant TPMT 09 02 04-PM 4315 is a triangular (T) positive (P) turning insert with a 11° clearance angle (M), tolerance class T, and a PM chipbreaker geometry, sized 09 02 04 (9.525 mm inscribed circle, 2.38 mm thickness, 0.4 mm nose radius), intended for the CoroTurn 111 toolholder system. Grade 4315 is a CVD-coated cemented carbide (TiCN + Al₂O₃ multilayer coating) in Sandvik's GC4315 series, optimized for finishing to medium turning of steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K) at elevated cutting speeds. Per the box label, recommended parameters for P-class steel (≤175 HB) are ap 0.3–2.0 mm, fn 0.06–0.18 mm/r, vc 395–365 m/min (1300–1200 sfm); for K-class cast iron (≤245 HB): ap 0.3–2.0 mm, fn 0.06–0.18 mm/r, vc 305–270 m/min (1000–880 sfm). This factory-sealed box of 10 new inserts is Made in Sweden (Batch 1GH0683694, MtrIID 6612590) and is compatible with CoroTurn 111 toolholders accepting TPMT 09 insert seats.
