Sandvik Coromant TPMT 110304-MF 2015 is a new, uncoated triangular positive-rake turning insert from the CoroTurn 111 system, designed for internal turning and profiling of small-diameter bores. Decoding the ISO designation: T = triangular (60° included angle), P = 11° clearance angle, M = medium tolerance (±0.08–0.18 mm IC / ±0.05–0.18 mm thickness), T = hole with no chipbreaker land on both faces (countersunk), 11 = 11 mm inscribed circle, 03 = 3.18 mm thickness, 04 = 0.4 mm nose radius; the MF chipbreaker geometry is optimized for medium finishing with low cutting forces on materials including stainless steel, alloy steel, and aluminum.
