This Scientific Cutting Tools (SCT) TMLR495-12 is a solid carbide thread mill with a straight cylindrical shank and a reduced-diameter neck behind multi-tooth thread-forming cutting edges. The part number is laser-etched on the shank and matches the SCT packaging label. Thread mills of this type are used on CNC milling machines with helical interpolation to cut internal or external threads, and a single tool can produce threads of one pitch across a range of diameters. Bright, uncoated carbide finish is visible in the photos. This item is new.
