Seco 620VL100R100-DIAMOND 10mm 2-Flute CVD Diamond Ball Nose End Mill

The Seco 620VL100R100-DIAMOND is a new, solid carbide ball nose end mill with a CVD diamond coating, manufactured in the Netherlands. It carries a 10 mm cutting diameter, 10 mm shank diameter, 100 mm overall length, and a 1 mm corner radius (full ball nose, R1), encoded directly in the designation Ø10×10×100 D10 R1. The 620VL series is Seco's long-flute, variable-helix solid carbide end mill platform optimized for high-speed, dry or near-dry machining of highly abrasive non-ferrous materials including graphite, carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP), glass-fiber composites, green ceramics, and hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloys — applications where the CVD diamond coating provides extreme hardness (>8000 HV) and low friction to resist rapid flank wear. The tool accepts standard ER collet chucks or hydraulic/shrink-fit toolholders sized for a 10 mm shank and is suited for CNC machining centers running high spindle speeds typical of aerospace, mold/die, and composite fabrication work.
