Seco CNMG120408-MF4 TM2000 Duratomic Carbide Turning Insert (10 Pcs)

Seco Tools CNMG120408-MF4 TM2000 (EDP 31522, also designated CNMG432-MF4 in inch notation) is a new, 80° diamond-shape (C) negative-rake carbide turning insert featuring a 0° clearance angle (N), medium tolerance (M), with a central through-hole and chip-breaker seat (G), 12.7 mm inscribed circle, 4.76 mm thickness, and 0.8 mm nose radius. The TM2000 grade is a Seco Duratomic® CVD-coated cemented carbide — the dark black appearance with light-colored chip gullet zones visible on the inserts is characteristic of this MT-CVD TiCN/Al₂O₃ Duratomic coating, which uses a controlled crystal texture to maximize wear resistance and thermal stability. The MF4 chipbreaker geometry is a medium finishing/medium-machining 4-edge top-work geometry suited for steel (P) and stainless steel (M) workpieces, confirmed by the P/M dot indicators on the box label; recommended cutting parameters per the label are ap 1.5 mm / f 0.3 mm/rev / Vc 245 m/min (SMG range) and ap 1.2 mm / f 0.25 mm/rev / Vc 205 m/min (M3 range). Compatible CNMG 432 toolholders include Seco PCLNR/L, DCLNR/L, and MCLNR/L style holders requiring an 80° diamond insert with a center-lock hole.
