Seco DNMG150612-M3 TP40 CVD Carbide Turning Insert (10pc)

The Seco DNMG150612-M3 TP40 is a new, factory-sealed box of 10 double-sided negative-rake carbide turning inserts in Seco grade TP40, a CVD-coated (TiCN/Al₂O₃/TiN) cemented carbide grade engineered for medium to rough turning of steel and stainless steel (ISO P and M workpiece materials). Decoding the ISO designation: D = 55° diamond shape, N = 0° clearance (negative rake), M = M-tolerance, G = with hole and chipbreaker, 15 = 15.875 mm inscribed circle, 06 = 6.35 mm thickness, 12 = 1.2 mm nose radius; the M3 suffix denotes Seco's M3 medium-roughing chipbreaker geometry optimized for interrupted cuts and scaled depth-of-cut up to 2 mm at feed rates up to 0.32 mm/rev. Seco's published cutting data for this insert lists vc 255 m/min (840 sfm) in P3 conditions and 80 m/min (260 sfm) in M4 conditions, with recommended ap of 2 mm and 1.2 mm respectively; compatible toolholders accept DNMG 55° diamond inserts with a standard G-type (pin-lock) clamping system, such as Seco PDJNR/L and MDJNR/L series holders.
