The Seco SNMX1407ZNTR-M16 MK2050 is a new, factory-sealed box of 10 square (S) negative (N) carbide milling inserts with a multilayer PVD coating in grade MK2050, designed primarily for cast iron milling applications as indicated by the K (black dot) ISO material designation on the package label. Decoding the ISO identifier: S = square shape, N = 0° clearance (negative rake), M = tolerances per ISO class M, X = special (double-sided with chipbreaker), 14 = 14 mm inscribed circle, 07 = 7 mm nominal thickness, ZN = helical/wiper geometry chipbreaker, TR = top and right hand cutting edge configuration, M16 = manufacturer-specific chipbreaker variant. The MK2050 grade is a PVD-coated submicron cemented carbide optimized for stable, high-speed milling of gray and nodular cast iron (ISO K), delivering excellent wear resistance and edge toughness; the dark blue-black PVD coating is clearly visible in the product photograph. These inserts are made in Sweden and are compatible with Seco R220 series square shoulder and face milling cutter bodies that accept SNMX1407 inserts.
