This Seco TNMG160408-M5 (ANSI TNMG332-M5, EDP 27711) is a negative-rake triangular carbide turning insert in grade TP2500 with Seco's Duratomic coating. The ISO code decodes to a 60° triangle (T) with 0° clearance (N), M tolerance, a cylindrical center hole with chipbreaker (G), a 16.5 mm cutting edge length, 4.76 mm thickness and a 0.8 mm nose radius. The M5 chipbreaker is intended for medium turning; the box label lists primary application in ISO P steel, secondary in ISO M and K, with a recommended depth of cut of 3.0 mm (0.5-4.0 mm), a feed of 0.35 mm/rev (0.25-0.60) and a cutting speed of 315 m/min (360-270). The insert has 6 usable cutting edges per insert on its two sides and fits holders for TNMG-style negative-rake triangular inserts. This lot is new and includes 6 inserts in the original Seco Duratomic box, which is labeled for 10 but hand-marked 6.
