The Seco WNMG080408-M6 TP0501 is a new, factory-sealed 80° trigon (W-shape) negative-rake carbide turning insert in grade TP0501, a CVD-coated (TiCN/Al2O3) cermet-based grade engineered for finishing to medium turning of steel (ISO P5–P7). Decoding the ISO designation: W = 80° trigon shape, N = 0° clearance (negative), M = ±0.08 mm / ±0.05 mm tolerance class, G = with hole + chip-breaker groove; 08 = 8 mm inscribed circle, 04 = 4.76 mm thickness, 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius; M6 = Seco's medium-duty M6 chipbreaker geometry optimized for steel finishing and light interrupted cuts. Grade TP0501 is a CVD-coated carbide grade targeting ISO P materials (carbon and alloy steels), with recommended cutting speeds of 470–495 m/min, feed rate 0.34 mm/rev, and depth of cut up to 3 mm as shown on the package label. This insert is compatible with MWLNR/L, DWLNR/L, and similar W-style negative toolholders requiring WNMG 432 inserts, and is made in Sweden. Quantity is 10 inserts per pack, EDP 15145.
