The SGS Pro SF-5G is a new, solid tungsten carbide double-cut (D/C) rotary burr in the SF style — tree shape with radius end — manufactured in the USA with cobalt binder per the label. Double-cut fluting produces a cross-hatch pattern that removes material faster than single-cut while delivering a smoother finish, making it well-suited for deburring, porting, and shaping on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and hardened steels. The SF-5 designation indicates a 1/2 in (12.7 mm) head diameter and 1 in (25.4 mm) cutting length with a standard 1/4 in (6.35 mm) shank compatible with die grinders and rotary tools accepting that collet size. SGS Pro is part of the Ata Group and this bur carries a Prop 65 cancer warning consistent with cobalt-bound tungsten carbide products.
