The Siemens HF362R is a new, fusible heavy-duty safety switch rated 60 amperes, 3-pole, 600V AC (maximum) and 600V DC (maximum), housed in a NEMA Type 3R rainproof galvanized steel enclosure suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. The switch is UL-listed, horsepower-rated, and accepts Class H, J, K, and R fuses (fuses not included); it features a Type HS hub provision for conduit entry and is wired using 60°C/75°C copper or aluminum conductors in the range 14–2 AWG on line/load/neutral terminals. The red lockable external handle allows the door to be opened only in the OFF position (defeatable), supports padlocking for LOTO compliance, and the quick-make/quick-break mechanism provides visible blade operation; the unit ships as Type VBII mechanism. Wire tightening torque is 35 ft-lb for 14–13 AWG and 45 ft-lb for 8–4 AWG on line/load/neutral lugs, with a lug mounting torque of 80 ft-lb. This switch is manufactured by Siemens Industry, Inc. and is rated for service-entrance equipment use in the USA when the appropriate service fuse kit is installed.
