The Siemens HNF363PV is a new, non-fusible heavy duty safety switch specifically engineered for photovoltaic (solar) disconnect applications per NEC Article 690, rated 100 amperes maximum and 600 volts DC (Vrrm) maximum, Type VB II, Type 1 enclosure for indoor use. The switch is a 3-pole configuration housed in a NEMA Type 1 steel enclosure with a gray powder-coat finish, featuring a red lockable handle that accepts padlocks for LOCKOUT/TAGOUT (LOTO) compliance. Terminal and wire information confirms acceptance of 14–1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors (75°C rated) on line, load, and main neutral lugs, with lug mounting torque of 80 lb-in and wire tightening torque ranging from 35 lb-in (14–10 AWG) to 50 lb-in (3–1/0 AWG). The internal mechanism uses a 3-pole switching assembly with red fuse clip holders present for visual identification; because it is non-fusible, no fuses are installed or required.
