The SKILSAW SPT70V-11 is a new 16-5/16 in. (414 mm) Super Sawsquatch™ magnesium worm drive circular saw designed for cutting wood, delivering a maximum depth of cut of 6-1/4 in. (158 mm) at 90° and 4-7/16 in. at 45°. The worm drive gearbox orients the motor parallel to the blade, producing higher torque output compared to sidewinder designs; the 15A motor spins the blade at 8,800 RPM no-load, and an electric blade brake stops the blade rapidly after trigger release. The die-cast magnesium base plate and guards reduce overall tool weight while maintaining rigidity, and a built-in oiler lubricates the worm gear set for extended service life. The saw accepts 1 in. round arbor blades and ships with a 32-tooth Diablo blade; bevel capacity ranges 0°–45° with positive stops, and dual front/rear auxiliary handles provide control for ripping and cross-cutting dimensional lumber, timbers, and engineered wood products.
