SKILSAW SPT77W-01 7-1/4in 15A Aluminum Worm Drive Circular Saw

The SKILSAW SPT77W-01 is a new 7-1/4 in. aluminum worm drive circular saw rated at 15 amps, continuing the original worm drive lineage SKILSAW introduced in 1924. The worm drive gearbox positions the motor parallel to the blade, delivering higher torque than direct-drive (sidewinder) designs and placing the blade on the left side for improved cut-line visibility for right-handed operators — a layout standard in framing and production carpentry. The aluminum construction of the upper and lower guards reduces weight compared to magnesium-free steel alternatives while maintaining rigidity for job-site durability. The SPT77W-01 accepts standard 7-1/4 in. circular saw blades on a 5/8 in. arbor and includes an Diablo framing blade; it is designed for ripping and crosscutting dimensional lumber, engineered wood, and sheathing in framing, decking, and concrete form applications.
