The SPI 20-665-6 is a new Barcor-made dial chamfer gage designed to measure the diameter of internal or external chamfers with angles ranging from 90° to 127°, reading directly in diameter over a 0 to 1 inch range with 0.001 inch graduation. The instrument uses a three-blade conical plunger contact that self-centers in the chamfer, translating the chamfer diameter to the balanced dial indicator via a mechanical linkage; the knurled locking collar locks the indicator position for comparative gauging. The dial face is clearly marked '90°–127° / .001" DIA' and the rear label confirms Model 1127, serial 78058, set to .020, consistent with Barcor Model 1127 production. Distributed by SPI (Swiss Precision Instruments) under part number 20-665-6, this instrument ships in a fitted black metal case with foam insert and operating instruction sheet, as visible in the photos. Typical applications include inspection of countersinks, counterbores, and chamfered holes on machined parts in high-volume production or tool room environments.
