This is a new SPI (Serial No. SFM 2645) 5/8-11 UNC Class 2A NOT GO adjustable thread ring gauge, manufactured to ANSI/ASME B1.2 standards and traceable to NIST (Cert No. 309625, NIST vide 21-53922-B, dated 11-03-2024). The gauge is used to verify that external (male) threads do not fall below the minimum acceptable pitch diameter — the NOT GO ring must not pass freely over a conforming thread. Engraved specifications confirm a NOT GO pitch diameter of 0.5589 in, with a specified pitch diameter tolerance of 0.5589 +0.0003 in, a major diameter minimum of 0.6234 in, and a minor diameter of 0.5392 +0.0006 in. The adjustable (split-ring) design, identified by the slotted body and two locking-screw holes visible on the face, allows field re-setting to the set plug; the gauge was set on set plug Sr. No. 8546 and verified OK with a plain check plug at the time of certification. Supplied sealed in original VCI packaging with the Certificate of Inspection included.
