The SPI 31-843-6 is a new dual-channel electronic digital comparator readout unit designed for precision dimensional gauging applications, accepting two independent LVDT or analog probe inputs (Channels A and B) simultaneously via DIN-style connectors on the rear panel. The large 4-digit LED display shows comparative measurements with selectable ranges of ±200 µm / ±0.200 inch (resolution 0.020 inch / 20 µm) or ±2000 µm / ±0.200 inch (resolution 0.020 inch / 200 µm), switchable via front-panel rotary controls, with separate zero-set knobs for each channel. The rear panel provides individual CAL trimmer ports and +/− calibration jacks for each channel, a Z1 multi-pin DIN output connector, a Z2 DB-15 interface port for data output or external connectivity, a power toggle switch, and an IEC mains inlet rated 110V / 0.5A. The included calibration certificate (S/N D669) confirms NABL-traceable calibration with total allowable error of 0.5% of full scale and measurement uncertainty of 0.001 mm, valid through November 2009, and a factor of 25.4 is noted for µm-to-inch conversion. Three front-panel indicator LEDs (yellow, green, red) provide go/no-go tolerance status, and three push-button controls handle display and function selection.
