This is a new SPI (Swiss Precision Instruments) GO thread ring gauge, part number 34-495-2, serial number STF 5746, designed to inspect external (male) metric threads to the M16x1.5-6g tolerance class per ISO 1502. The gauge is hardened steel construction and conforms to ISO 1502 standard gauge-making requirements; it is NIST-traceable (NIST vide 21-53922-B) and ships with a Certificate of Inspection dated 13-10-2021 confirming actual pitch diameter of 14.9797 mm (specified 14.9857 ±0.0090 mm) and minor diameter of 14.3382 mm (specified 14.3442 ±0.0090 mm).
