Stead & Fast ACHSS-1P-11/16x2 11/16" x 2" HSS Annular Cutter with Pilot Pin

This is a new Stead & Fast ACHSS-1P-11_16x2 high-speed steel (HSS) annular cutter with a 11/16-inch (17.4 mm) cutting diameter and 2-inch (50.8 mm) cutting depth, supplied with a pilot pin as indicated by the '1P' designation in the part number and confirmed on the product label. The cutter features a black oxide or TiN-style dark coating visible across the flute body on two of the three cutters shown, indicating surface treatment for corrosion resistance and extended tool life, while one uncoated example is also shown for comparison. The shank is a standard 3/4-inch Weldon-type (three-flat) shank as is universal for annular cutters in this class, making it compatible with magnetic drill presses (mag drills) from manufacturers such as Hougen, Jancy, Milwaukee, and Fein that accept the 3/4-inch Weldon arbor. Annular cutters of this type cut only the annular ring of material rather than a full slug, dramatically reducing cutting force and heat compared to twist drills, and are used for clean through-holes in structural steel, plate, and fabricated assemblies.
