Sumitomo AECT220630PEFRA DL1000 PVD Carbide Milling Insert (2pc)

The Sumitomo Electric AECT220630PEFRA is a new, indexable carbide milling insert in grade DL1000, a PVD-coated (DLC/multi-layer) cemented carbide grade engineered for high-speed milling of steel, stainless steel, and difficult-to-cut materials (ISO P, M, K, H, N, S work material coverage is visible on the packaging label). The insert designation decodes as follows: AECT = proprietary positive-rake double-sided milling insert style with a countersunk center hole; 22 = 22 mm inscribed circle / body length; 06 = 6.35 mm (6 mm nominal) thickness; 30 = 3.0 mm nose radius; PE = positive rake chipbreaker geometry; FR = fine/right-hand cutting edge preparation; A = tolerance class. The iridescent dark PVD coating (DL1000 grade) visible on the inserts provides a low-friction surface for excellent chip evacuation and extended tool life, particularly in light-to-continuous cutting conditions as indicated by the icon on the label. Each factory-sealed clamshell tray contains 2 inserts, manufactured and inspected by Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal. These inserts are compatible with Sumitomo face mills and shoulder mills designed for the AECT22-series seat geometry.
