The Sumitomo Electric WNMG433EGU (ISO: WNMG080412N-GU) is a new, trigon-shaped (80° included angle) negative-rake carbide turning insert in AC4015K grade, designed for finishing operations on cast iron (K-material classification). AC4015K is a CVD-coated carbide grade featuring a TiCN/Al₂O₃ multilayer coating over a fine-grained substrate, delivering exceptional wear resistance and flank wear stability at cutting speeds of 140–280 m/min (459–918 SFM) and feed rates of 0.25–0.6 mm/rev (0.010–0.024 IPR). The EGU (N-GU) chipbreaker geometry is engineered for finish cutting, producing tight chip control and superior surface finish at light depths of cut. The insert measures 12.7 mm IC (inscribed circle), 4.76 mm thickness, with a 1.2 mm nose radius, and features a central fixing hole (M-tolerance) for use in MWLNR/MWLNL or DWLNR/DWLNL toolholders that accept WNMG 433 inserts. Each box contains 10 inserts, part number confirmed from box label (19T2338).
