The SunTouch TapeMat Series D12 (PN 81010472) is a 120 VAC electric radiant floor heating mat rated at 12 watts per square foot, covering 15 sq ft in a 6 ft x 30 in roll format. The mat features an open-weave orange fiberglass mesh construction with a pre-spaced resistance heating cable secured via double-sided adhesive tape edging to prevent movement during installation; the open weave allows thinset mortar to penetrate through to the substrate in a single-step installation process, adding only approximately 1/8 in (3 mm) to the floor profile. Rated at 1.5 amps draw at 120 VAC, this mat is UL Listed (cULus), approved for shower applications, and is compatible with any SunStat floor heating thermostat; it is designed for installation under tile, stone, or similar hard floor coverings over concrete or cement backer board substrates. Made in Mexico by Watts Water Technologies under the SunTouch brand, this unit is new in original retail packaging and includes the DIY TapeMat installation manual; a floor sensor and compatible thermostat are sold separately.
