The Supermill SAP125 is a new, solid carbide 4-flute square-end end mill from Supermill's All Purpose series, manufactured in Berlin, CT (USA). It measures 1/8 in cutting diameter x 1/2 in length of cut x 2 in overall length, with a 1/8 in straight shank — a long-reach configuration suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool carries a dark black physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating consistent with AlTiN or TiAlN treatment, providing elevated hardness, oxidation resistance, and thermal stability for dry or minimal-lubrication machining of steels, stainless steels, and cast iron. The 4-flute geometry balances material removal rate with chip clearance, making it well-suited for finish milling and light-to-moderate slotting passes in CNC machining centers and manual mills using ER collet or end mill holders accepting a 1/8 in shank.
