The Techniks 22721-5.5 is a new CAT50 face mill arbor/holder with a 3/4 in (0.750 in) pilot diameter and 5.5 in arbor length, designed to mount face mills, shell mills, and indexable milling cutters on CAT50-spindle VMCs and horizontal machining centers. The body is through-hardened alloy steel with a black oxide finish on the taper and flange, and a precision-ground pilot stub that controls cutter runout; Techniks' QA certification card (visible in photos) confirms dimensional tolerances of +0.0001/0 in on bore dimensions A and B, ±0.005 in on gauge length C, and ±0.01 in on dimension D. Balance is rated to G1.3 at speeds up to 6,000 RPM for CAT50 per the included certification documentation. The retention knob socket at the top accepts a standard 1-1/4–12 UNF CAT50 retention knob (sold separately), and the flange incorporates dual drive slots for positive torque transmission via the spindle drive keys.
