The Titan "Tuff Karb" TC12616 is a new, USA-made solid carbide double-end square end mill with a 1/4 in diameter, 4-flute configuration, and AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, as confirmed directly from the product label. Constructed from sub-micron (micrograin) carbide substrate, the Tuff Karb series delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to standard carbide grades, making it well-suited for ferrous materials including alloy steels, tool steels, stainless steels, and cast iron. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, effectively doubling tool life per unit, and the AlTiN coating offers high-temperature oxidation resistance up to approximately 1600°F, supporting dry or near-dry machining and higher cutting speeds. The 1/4 in shank fits standard 1/4 in collets and end mill holders (ER16, ER20, ER32, and equivalent systems). Made in the USA.
