The Titan USA TR96359 is a new, #40 wire gauge size, 4-flute straight flute (S.F.) cobalt (M42 high-speed steel) chucking reamer with a Rose/Machine (RMR) style, 7/8 in. length of flute (LOF), and 3-1/2 in. overall length (OAL). Cobalt HSS construction provides increased heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS, making this reamer well-suited for reaming stainless steel, cast iron, and other tough or abrasive materials where elevated cutting temperatures are encountered. The straight flute geometry is appropriate for through-holes and non-interrupted cuts in a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. This chucking reamer is designed for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, lathes, and similar machine tool setups where it is held in a drill chuck or collet; it produces precise, close-tolerance finished holes to the #40 wire gauge diameter (0.0980 in.).
