The Tool-Flo 16ER 8 UN AC22A is a new, indexable carbide external threading insert designed to cut Unified National (UN) thread forms at 8 TPI, in the 16-size (16mm inscribed circle) triangular insert format. Grade AC22 is Tool-Flo's (IMC Group) PVD-coated submicron carbide grade engineered for threading steels, stainless steels, and alloy materials, offering a balance of toughness and wear resistance suited to interrupted cuts and varying stock conditions. The "ER" designation in the ISO-style threading code denotes external right-hand threading geometry, compatible with standard 16ER-size toolholders such as those in Tool-Flo's TF or equivalent SFER/STEL series. Each package contains 5 inserts (as confirmed on the label: "5 PCS"), manufactured in Israel. The full-profile ground insert generates a complete 60° UN thread form in a single pass setup, eliminating the need for chasing passes on compatible CNC or manual lathes.
