The Tungaloy WXGU040308L-TS AH725 is a new, triangular-profile carbide milling insert from the TungForce line, designed for high-efficiency shoulder and face milling operations. Decoding the part number: W = irregular polygon (trigon) insert shape, X = 0° clearance (relief provided by the toolholder), G = close tolerance, U = with chipbreaker/complex geometry (TS = screw-clamped with TS-style chipbreaker geometry), 04 = 4 mm inscribed circle (IC), 03 = 3 mm insert thickness, 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius, L = left-hand cutting geometry. The AH725 grade is a PVD-coated cemented carbide (multilayer TiAlN-based PVD coating over a fine-grain carbide substrate), optimized for wear resistance and toughness in interrupted cuts and difficult-to-machine materials. Recommended for P:Steel at f = 0.08–0.3 mm/rev, Vc = 50–180 m/min (164–591 SFM) and M:Stainless Steel at f = 0.08–0.3 mm/rev, Vc = 50–150 m/min (164–492 SFM) per the published label data.
