Ultra-Dex E08R-STFCR2 1/2" x 8" Right-Hand Indexable Boring Bar

The Ultra-Dex E08R-STFCR2 is a new, American-made right-hand indexable boring bar with a 1/2 in (0.500 in) round shank diameter and 8 in overall length, manufactured by Ultra-Dex USA (J06981-1135). Decoding the designation: "E" = round shank boring bar, "08" = shank diameter in eighths of an inch (8/8 = 1.000 in — actually E=5/8ths series; in Ultra-Dex's "E" prefix coding, E08 denotes a 1/2 in shank), "R" = right-hand cut, "STFC" = insert pocket style accepting TCMT (triangular, 11° clearance, M-tolerance, T-chipbreaker) inserts, "R2" = 90° lead angle with a 1/32 in (0.031 in) nose radius insert. The bar is constructed from alloy steel with a hardened and ground shank, providing rigidity for internal turning, boring, and profiling operations on CNC and manual lathes. Compatible inserts are TCMT 2(1.5)1 / TCMT 110204-series triangular carbide inserts; the top-clamp (screw-on) insert retention system enables fast, repeatable insert indexing. A hex-key wrench is included, and the bar ships on its original Ultra-Dex branded packaging (item #66603630, lot 073).
