The Vacuubrand RC 6 is a new Chemistry-HYBRID vacuum pump (S/N 114969007, manufactured 2022/08) combining a dry diaphragm pre-stage with a rotary vane final stage to achieve a ultimate vacuum of 4×10⁻⁴ mbar — making it suitable for demanding laboratory applications including rotary evaporation, vacuum distillation, filtration, drying, and concentration of aggressive chemical vapors. The pump delivers a maximum pumping speed of 5.9/6.9 m³/h (50/60 Hz) and is rated IP40, powered at 230V/50-60Hz drawing 2.6A; the integrated Elnor Motors N.V. (Belgium) motor (Type BX170CP55 MR) is a single-phase asynchronous cage-rotor unit rated 0.30 kW at 1440 RPM (50 Hz) / 0.43 kW at 1700 RPM (60 Hz), thermally protected with manual reset. Manufactured by VACUUBRAND GmbH & Co KG in Wertheim, Germany, the RC 6 ships complete with operator manual, a bottle of rotary vane pump oil, power cord, and fitting accessories; its PTFE-lined diaphragm head resists chemical attack, allowing use with corrosive solvents without oil contamination of the process stream.
