The Valenite G-TB-175 L.H. is a new, solid-steel indexable boring bar designed for left-hand internal turning and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. The "G-TB" prefix denotes Valenite's G-series through-bore toolholder family; "175" indicates a 1-3/4 in (44.45 mm) shank diameter; "L.H." specifies left-hand cutting orientation, meaning the tool cuts when feeding right-to-left (away from the chuck). The insert seat designation SD-2, combined with the 7T02 insert grade code stamped on the shank, confirms this bar accepts SD-style (diamond-shaped, 55° point angle) negative-rake inserts in Valenite's 7T02 carbide grade — a general-purpose uncoated or lightly treated grade suited for steel and cast iron boring.
