Valvoline AW 46 Hydraulic Oil (VV042) is a new, full 55-gallon steel drum of anti-wear mineral hydraulic fluid formulated to ISO viscosity grade 46, blended and packaged in the USA from foreign and domestic materials by Valvoline Global Operations (Lexington, KY). The AW (Anti-Wear) designation confirms the fluid contains zinc-based (ZDDP) anti-wear additives that protect vanes, pistons, and gear-type hydraulic pumps operating under moderate-to-high pressure; ISO VG 46 targets a nominal 46 cSt kinematic viscosity at 40°C, placing it in the mid-range grade suited to most industrial hydraulic systems operating in ambient conditions. This fluid meets or exceeds DIN 51524 Part II HLP and Cincinnati Milacron P-68/P-70 standards commonly required by hydraulic press, injection molding, and machine tool OEMs. The drum carries a freshness date of 2026-05-11 (lot C61), confirming it is within shelf life and ready for immediate service; the standard 2-inch NPT bung and vent plug on the lid are compatible with drum pumps and standard dispensing equipment.
