The Vargus (Vardex) TMSHC-D400-125-6B is a new, indexable thread milling shell mill body designed for the Vardex TM Shell Mill system, used for producing internal and external threads via helical interpolation on CNC machining centers. Decoding the part number: TM = Thread Mill, SH = Shell Mill (arbor-mount), C = Coolant Through, D400 = 4.00 in (100 mm) cutting diameter, 125 = 1.25 in bore diameter, 6B = 6 insert pockets with B-style insert seats. The body accepts Vargus TM-series indexable carbide inserts (not included) secured by Torx clamping screws; the 6-pocket configuration supports high productivity thread milling of large-diameter features. Coolant-through capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the insert cutting zone for improved chip evacuation, insert life, and surface finish. The body is manufactured in Israel from alloy steel with a black oxide/nitride surface treatment and ships new in the original Vargus blue molded plastic case with Wiha Torx wrench, torque key, and spare clamping screw included.
